Mastering the Art of Mustard

At Atlantic Mustard Mill, we are committed to mastering the art of mustard so that you can count on a magnificent mustard experience in every single jar we create.

Tradition and nature guide us every step of the way.

We know that the very best mustard begins with high-quality ingredients and we are wholly committed to using the freshest ingredients, organically or naturally grown ingredients and sourcing locally whenever possible. We never use preservatives or fillers, such as cornstarch and flour.

Exceptional mustard also takes time and skill. We stone grind the whole mustard seeds in our federally inspected kitchen, carefully mix them with the rest of the ingredients in the recipe, and let it ferment for 2 to 8 days.

One of the best things about mustard is that you can enjoy it in all manner of varieties. Here at Atlantic Mustard, we’ve created over 50 unique mustards and mustard sauces for you to enjoy. We exceeded our goal for the 50 shades of mustard'!

From classic Dijon to curry mustard, PEI wild blueberry mustard, stout mustard, maple chili mustard and beyond, you’ll find a mustard to suit every taste, every meal, and every mood.

And our obsession with creating new mustard recipes is not going to wane, so you can always look forward to new taste adventures with Atlantic Mustard Mill.

Because we believe health and flavour should always go hand in hand, we’re committed to honouring the health benefits of mustard.  Did you know mustard can help encourage good digestion by stimulating the production of saliva and gastric juices?

The oil from mustard seeds is also considered anti-bacterial, and as such, we retain these oils in our mustard-making processes. This oil also acts as a natural preservative - a win-win.

Mustard is a powerhouse of nutrition. It’s rich in selenium (anti-inflammatory effects), calcium, manganese, omega 3s, iron, zinc, protein, and dietary fiber. All that goodness packed into one mighty delicious condiment.

We like to think the health benefits of our mustards are just one more reason to go back for seconds and thirds!

"Mustard can serve as a nutritious addition to many foods. It’s extremely flavourful but is low in calories and cholesterol-free. It’s also high in protein and contains healthy amounts of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and niacin. The vast appetite for this versatile seed and its products has helped make Canada the world’s largest mustard exporter.’
